Sungguh, baru sampai 15 hari setelah Tahun Baru 2021, Indonesia mengalami banyak musibah yang bertubi-tubi. Pandemi COVID-19 yang merupakan warisan tahun 2020 belum kunjung selesai malah semakin mengganas, di tengah kendornya sebagian masyarakat Indonesia akan bahaya virus Corona, tiba-tiba pada hari Sabtu, 9 Januari 2021, kita dikejutkan dengan jatuhnya pesawat Sriwijaya SJ 182 di perairan laut sekitar Kepulauan Seribu yang mengakibatkan semua orang di dalamnya tewas secara mengenaskan.

Belum juga selesai masalah pandemi dan pesawat jatuh tersebut, pada hari Jumat, 15 Januari 2021, terjadi gempa bumi di Majene, Sulawesi Barat dengan kekuatan Magnitudo 6,2 di kedalaman 10 km. Sampai berita ini ditulis sudah ada 27 orang ditemukan tewas, dan kemungkinan masih ada orang yang terjebak di reruntuhan bangunan. Banyak rumah dan bangunan runtuh, sehingga banyak orang kehilangan sanak keluarga, harta benda, dan tempat tinggalnya di tengah kondisi pandemi COVID-19 dan Resesi Ekonomi yang semakin mempersulit hidup mereka.

Menurut Kepala Kantor SAR Mamuju Saidar Rahmajaya mengaku, pihaknya sudah mengetahui video itu dan tengah memastikan kondisi sebenarnya. "Kebetulan tiga tim yang kami turunkan ke lapangan sampai sekarang masih belum bisa komunikasi," kata Saidar dalam tayangan Kompas TV, Jumat (15/1/2021). Namun, dari informasi yang diperoleh aparat kepolisian, korban telah berhasil dievakuasi. "Kami masih mencari. Nama C (korban) yang disebut di video itu tidak ada (dalam korban jiwa). Mudah-mudahan dia termasuk yang selamat lah," kata Syamsu kepada Kompas.com melalui telepon, Jumat malam. Korban juga sempat meminta air minum karena kehausan sembari mengatakan ada anak lain yang juga ikut terjebak dalam reruntuhan bangunan tersebut.
